Itinerary
Day 1
Yangon - NaypyitawDrive to NAYPYITAW (5 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After small refreshment, visit the Gem Musuem, housing precious jewels, such as rubies, sapphires, jade and the largest pearl in Myanmar. (Museum is closed on Monday and Public holidays.). Continue to visit and take photo stops at the PARLIEMENT HOUSE (PYI THU HLUT TAW), three enormous statues of Myanmar Kings Anawrahta, Bayinnaung and Alaungpaya, NAYPYITAW CITY HALL and MICC, Myanmar International Convention Centre. Then continue visit UPPATASANTI PAGODA, a replica of the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. The 99 meter golden pagoda is visible from all major roads leading into the city.
Overnight stay in Naypyitaw.
Day 2
Naypyitaw - YangonAfter breakfast, visit to The National Land Marks Garden; which is depicting the replicas of the famous Pagodas, Stupas, Caves, River Crossing Bridges, Mountains, Lakes, Water Falls, Beaches and Islands in States and Divisions in Myanmar. Continue visit to the ThattaHtarna; a replica of Buddha Gaya in India, where the seven sacred spots of the Lord Buddha in his early Buddha-hood.
After Lunch, visit to THA PYAY GONE Market and MYO MA Market, this is currently the commercial centre of Naypyitaw for souvenir shopping. If time permits, visit to National Herbal Park; which has exhibits of plants having medicinal applications from all of the major regions of Burma. There are thousands of plants in the park, representing hundreds of different species.
Return to Yangon.
